Steve developed a passion for softball as he saw how his youngest of 2 daughters, Sydney, grew to love the game. With an undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge and an MBA from Pepperdine University, as well as many years in sales and marketing, Steve recognized that there were few, if any, books introducing softball to young women. With the experiences of Sydney's time playing rec ball, travel ball and high school softball as his inspiration, he hopes to also inspire girls around the world to learn about and play a game that has taught the "real" Sydney so many invaluable lessons, on the field and off.
Lau Frank is a professional children’s book illustrator from Denmark. He grew up always finding himself filling up pages in his sketchbook.
He has always known that he wanted to do art for a living, and when he was studying in the gymnasium (somewhat like high school), he started getting some smaller freelance illustration jobs. As school went on, he got more and more illustration jobs. Eventually, he got so busy that he did not see any sense in staying in school. So In February 2021, he decided to drop out.Since then he has worked on many different illustration projects. He has now decided to put most of his effort into illustrating children’s books since that is where his passion lies the most - though he will take on other projects from time to time.
